Christian Siriano with Model Wearing New Fall Dress
Last night in New York City at the Designers Management Agency, Christian Siriano showcased his new FALL 09 Ready To Wear Collection allowing New Yorkers to touch, feel and in some cases try on the ‘fierce’ lacey/platform shoe designs. Siriano, known for winning Season 4 of former Bravo: Project Runway (Now Moving to Lifetime this Fall) modestly worked the room talking to all his guests who included Semi Precious Weapons frontman, Justin Tranter, Marc Jacobs model Jimmy Knehans and Dr. Michelle who would look lovely in an original Christian Siriano design!
The new collection featured colors ranging from Sand, Mocha and Chocolate to Persian Green and utilized fabrics from wool, santeen, silk and chiffon. Day to evening pieces inlcuded pintuck trousers, pleaded waistcoats to wool turbanettes. The evening wear featured more drama including shorter dresses inspired by tulips and flower petals to flowy beautiful chiffon and organza gowns. Siriano also featured prototypes of his new collection of shoes designed for Payless. The Egyptian-inspired footwear will range from $25 to $45.
