Hunter Valentine cause drama on reality TV, but the drama makes great music

Hunter Valenter: Collide and Conquer reviewYou may have seen members of the band, Hunter Valentine on “The Real L Word” on Showtime, or if you’re like me you’ve stumbled onto them at the Mercury Lounge in New York playing an electrifying set. The all girl band don’t mince words lyrically and aren’t afraid to rock out on their new album, “Collide and Conquer”. Lead singer, Kiyomi McCloskey, can sometimes conjure up Pink, but takes it to the next level which is fun to listen to and watch in their live performances. It’s not all hard edges though, the band take it down a bit on sentimental, but effective tracks like “Crying” and “Lonely Crusade”. Favorite tracks include, “Liar Liar”, “The Pulse” and “Gates of Hell” which all combine the right amount rock, great lyrics and catchy refrains. Hunter Valentine are currently on tour and definitely worth checking them out. Visit: Sample album below and get it on iTunes:
