Martin Keehn takes inspiration from Brian Eno to break the standard rules for his Autumn/Winter 2015 Collection

Martin Keehn Fall 2015

Martin Keehn Fall 2015

Menswear designer, Martin Keehn continues to evolve his aesthetic and point of view as he presented at New York Fashion Week this past week. For Fall 2015 Keehn used legendary producer, Brian Eno as inspiration creating an imaginary relationship with Eno and his father. The inspired collection was urban, but Keehn broke traditional Autumn rules using color to keep things on his terms. When asked by Editor Carlton Jones to share a little about his creative process, Keehn told us he approaches each collection similar to a writer where he creates a story or character. Often times, as in this current collection, Keehn developed a relationship between two characters. The designer also shared that he feels that one person is not just one kind of person and that he likes to explore that duality. After he creates a vision, with fleshed out characters he heads to the market where he lets God guide his choices. Check out our video feature on the Martin Keehn collection
